Beijing-based Nufront Software presented its proprietary high-speed broadband wireless local area network solutions at the annual conference of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) on Thursday.
As wireless Internet viewing of movies and videos gains popularity, China's technicians and officials are attempting to gain approval for the country's newly developed tech standards by the IEEE, the world rule setting body.
The Orlando presentation follows the failure in the tussle for approval as an international standard between China's Wireless Authentication and Privacy Infrastructure (WAPI) and the IEEE-blessed WiFi. "Nufront's high-speed wireless local network solutions are technologically advanced and offer faster data transmission, good mobility and improved functions," said Wu Hequan, vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. "My academy supports and encourages its application to become a global standard."
Nufront Software executives made the case in Orlando that its solutions are capable of increasing digital data transmission speeds from the present 12 to 18 mbps (megabits per second) to 24 to 36 mbps. The solutions are compatible with the telecommunications systems now in operation.
